Energy Transfer Technologies has developed the ESelect Dual-Drive compression concept to give the natural gas industry the best of energy sources to drive a natural gas compressor. The basis for ETT's Dual Drive Compression model provides for actual run times to approach 100% of compression drive with the electric motor. In most cases, the allowable minimum run time on the electric motor is 90% on an annual basis. Therefore, use of Dual Drive Compression results in a real reduction of emissions approaching 100% versus traditional gas fired units.
